Do not judge me!! Growing up I don’t think I knew there was any other cheese in the world except Velveeta & Kraft slices! There were a few other foods too that I thought was the only kind…like there was only head lettuce & green peppers. Advertisements
I have fallen in ‘love’ with Nik Sharma’s recipes …he has a food blog called A Brown Table
On my last visit to Toronto, I met Amy Stopnicki who is the author of a beautiful cookbook..KOSHER taste. She was so nice & gave me a copy of the cookbook. This recipe is the first one I made & it is great!
Murray discovered Poke in Hawaii & never looked back! He has tried different recipes over the years but has settled on this one. I first posted this…

I have been wanting to make this Pomegranate Chicken for a very long time! I saw this recipe for the first time in 2015 on THE NOSHER , myjewishlearning.com! That is a long time to want to make something!
This is an old recipe I used to make when I lived in Yellowknife. It is similar to a Shepard’s Pie I suppose, but with a cornbread top instead of mashed potatoes.

I find that sometimes the beef chunks in beef stew are hard & too chewy…but not when the stew is cooked in the Instant Pot!
I love these cottage cheese muffins. The recipe is from over 40 years ago! Our family has been making them forever! I think the original recipe was given to my mom by a friend of hers. Sometimes I would play majong with my mom’s group & this friend of hers would make the cheese muffins…
This is delicious! I grew up eating tuna sandwiches on white bread with some Old Dutch plain potato chips. Absolute comfort food for me. Don’t get me wrong, I still love this. And…. the tuna doesn’t have anything added to it…just Kraft Mayonnaise.. BUT….. this tuna with curry is fantastic!
I have a lot of time today at home, so I decided to make a pot roast in the oven…slow roasted until it is tender & the juices run thick
