Hash Brown Casserole(re-post from 2017)

This recipe for hash Brown Casserole is a family favorite and I really only make it once a year or sometimes if we are having several friends over for brunch! ( pre-Covid days)

I am going to make it this week to break our fast after the holiday of Yom Kippur. Our son will come over for dinner and this will be part of our meal. We are also having Cottage Cheese Muffins baked in a 9 x 13 baking dish by my sister. She is making it for us! As well I think we will have some smoked salmon that Murray has made in his smoker! Also on the menu is salad of some kind, Honey Cake & fruit… maybe some Homemade Bagels with cream cheese & that delicious salmon or lox.

I love this recipe as it is easy to prepare; All of the ingredients are at the grocery store so one shop and you have everything you need to make this! The Hash Brown Casserole is great as a side dish with anything! We love it with eggs and toast!

This recipe is one of our family favourites at any buffet meal! This is an old recipe probably from over 25 years ago that I got from a friend of mine. Always a hit with everyone!

Many people ask me "how did you do that?" "will you show me how?' So I decided to make a blog about what I cook and bake. I am in no way a professional cook, but I love to feed people and try new things as well as making the "old foods" My friends are wonderful cooks, each with their own 'specialty' and i will be having guest cooks here, showcasing their favourite things to cook as well!! I hope you enjoy this blog and maybe decide to make some of these foods yourself! I am always available to answer any questions you might have about anything you see here. Some of my recipes are unique to me but most are not. They are all recipes I have found in a variety of ways, some are old family recipes that date back decades and some are new ones!
