Orzo Salad with Imitation Crab

What a delicious idea! This orzo salad is like a deconstructed California roll! It can be eaten warm or cold & makes a good side dish or a stand-alone dish as well…I liked it the next day for dinner.   I made this when we had company over for & everyone really enjoyed it. Vegetable Torte

This is a wonderful recipe for a layered vegetable torte. This is the perfect time of year to make it with all of the fresh vegetables available at farmers markets, but it would be good anytime of year. You can grill the vegetables or roast them before putting this dish together so it is pretty flexible. Easily adapted to be vegan…just leave out the Parmesan topping.

My sister , Edith, has made this fresh strawberry pie for years. I have always thought it sounded delicious & I wasn’t wrong!! I do love the strawberry pies that have the custard on the bottom, strawberries & then that beautiful red glaze from the package you can get at the grocery store! Nothing wrong with that pie either. But…. Continue reading “Fresh Strawberry Pie”
