TikTok’s Chocolate & Date Bark

Chocolate & Date Bark is all over Tik Tok right now, showing up on my feeds often. So, naturally I wanted to try making this myself!

I tried to make the Chocolate & Date Bark the way I am seeing it on Tik Tok but for some reason I had a bit of trouble! This is how they do it…They take dates & lay them down on parchment paper beside each other, then squish them flat. Peanut butter is spread on top, then some crushed peanuts sprinkled over the dates. Next some melted chocolate is spread over top. I had trouble making the bark this way. I found that it was hard spreading everything on the dates.

So, I decided to try and make this the way I make any other type of chocolate bark. I spread melted chocolate on some parchment, then dolloped peanut butter that I had softened in the microwave overtop…I actually swirled the two together. Then, I sprinkled on some sliced almonds * but you can use any nut you like or no nuts at all if you prefer, then I pressed pitted dates into the chocolate. I chilled this then cut it into squares. It worked perfectly!
