First posted in September of 2017…. This sweet noodle kugel with apples & raisins ( you can omit the raisins if you don’t like them!) is a family recipe of my friend Pnina. I am so honoured that she shared this recipe with me. Perfect for this time of year when there is an abundance…
An old family recipe for a cottage cheese ‘pie’ baked in a square pan…so not really a ‘pie’ but not a square either! This recipe has a cake like bottom, cottage cheese filling & cake like top… slightly sweet but not too much sugar…baked to a golden brown. But it isn’t really a cake either!…
I love these cottage cheese muffins. The recipe is from over 40 years ago! Our family has been making them forever! I think the original recipe was given to my mom by a friend of hers. Sometimes I would play majong with my mom’s group & this friend of hers would make the cheese muffins…
This is delicious! I grew up eating tuna sandwiches on white bread with some Old Dutch plain potato chips. Absolute comfort food for me. Don’t get me wrong, I still love this. And…. the tuna doesn’t have anything added to it…just Kraft Mayonnaise.. BUT….. this tuna with curry is fantastic!
These salmon patties are a staple in our house. I keep a couple of cans of salmon in the pantry to whip up these patties for dinner anytime. They are good as the main in a meal, on a bun as a burger or cold from the fridge.
Pick up some fresh peaches at the market & make this delicious Peach Cobbler! It is simple & very good. Serve it with ice cream or not…..
I love this noodle kugel recipe. It is sweet & delicious. The method is really interesting & different then any way I have ever made a noodle kugel before!
Hot weather & ice cream cake go together…right? Of course they do & if you are having a dinner party…well… put some Kahlua & vodka in that ice cream!!
Could this be the fastest most delicious thing ever?? I think it is! It took maybe a total of 15 minutes from start to finish… and wow is it good!
An old favourite salad recipe that I forget about! With all of the new recipes I look at everyday & the new ‘trendy’ way to eat vegetables…kale, shaved brussels sprouts… it is nice to turn back & re-visit some past favs
What a delicious idea! This orzo salad is like a deconstructed California roll..minus the Nori! It can be eaten warm or cold & makes a good side dish or a stand-alone dish as well…I liked it the next day for dinner. I made this when we had company over & everyone really enjoyed it.
With all of the fresh fruit available now, an Angel Food Cake is the perfect thing to pair them with…. This recipe was easy & so much better than the store-bought ones!
