Quick Creamy Coleslaw

I just love a creamy coleslaw! I never used to actually but since I use this delish dressing now it has become my favorite! Quick Creamy Coleslaw!

I like to make this salad at least an hour before we are going to eat it. The softens up the cabbage a bit. Also, this is really good a few days after as well!

The ingredients are most likely already in your fridge! You can adjust the seasonings to your tasting. I like my coleslaw a bit sweet but if you don’t you can add less sugar, taste & adjust!

I use a bag of pre-shredded coleslaw mix, you can use this or slice your own, or use a mixture of green and red cabbage if you like, some shredded carrots are nice too.

This recipe makes quite a bit of dressing so you can half it if you want.

Here is a link to another coleslaw recipe on this blog! This one has a vinaigrette dressing you might like Simple Coleslaw

Here is the recipe for this Quick Creamy Coleslaw

Ingredients

1 bag pre-shredded coleslaw mix

Dressing

1 cup mayonnaise

1 1/2 Tbsp vinegar

1/2 tsp dry mustard ( if you don’t have this add yellow mustard or dijon)

3 – 4 tbsp sugar

1/2 tsp salt

Method

  1. I like to rinse any bagged salads that I use …so rinse & dry the coleslaw mix. Set aside
  2. Put all of the dressing ingredients into a bowl & whisk together
  3. Put the dried coleslaw mix into a large bowl, pour the dressing overtop & mix well.
  4. Keep in the refrigerator until ready to eat!

Many people ask me "how did you do that?" "will you show me how?' So I decided to make a blog about what I cook and bake. I am in no way a professional cook, but I love to feed people and try new things as well as making the "old foods" My friends are wonderful cooks, each with their own 'specialty' and i will be having guest cooks here, showcasing their favourite things to cook as well!! I hope you enjoy this blog and maybe decide to make some of these foods yourself! I am always available to answer any questions you might have about anything you see here. Some of my recipes are unique to me but most are not. They are all recipes I have found in a variety of ways, some are old family recipes that date back decades and some are new ones!
