Mango Tequila Guacamole

I know you are thinking guacamole is delicious without tequila…but it is fabulous with tequila!!! This recipe is from a liquor store in Edmonton, LIQUOR depot

Can’t really TASTE the tequila..it is very subtle but adds an interesting flavour to this popular dish. The mango adds sweetness, there is some heat from a jalapeño…. a mixture of ingredients that really works.

This is great with chips or on eggs…. on tacos… you can eat this with anything!

We served this with unsalted nacho chips &  Strawberry, Tequila & Aperol Slushy Drink!!

Here is the recipe

2 large avocados

1/4 cup red onion, finely diced

1/2 mango

4 tbsp lime juice

1/2 jalapeno

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 Tbsp tequila

1/2 cup cilantro

Method

  1. Prepare all of the ingredients & as you do put them into a bowl big enough to accommodate all of them
  2. Peel & finely dice the avocados
  3. Finely dice the red onion
  4. Peel & finely dice the mango
  5. Finely dice the jalapeno
  6. Take the tough stems off the cilantro & finely chop the leaves
  7. Combine all of the ingredients

Enjoy!

Many people ask me "how did you do that?" "will you show me how?' So I decided to make a blog about what I cook and bake. I am in no way a professional cook, but I love to feed people and try new things as well as making the "old foods" My friends are wonderful cooks, each with their own 'specialty' and i will be having guest cooks here, showcasing their favourite things to cook as well!! I hope you enjoy this blog and maybe decide to make some of these foods yourself! I am always available to answer any questions you might have about anything you see here. Some of my recipes are unique to me but most are not. They are all recipes I have found in a variety of ways, some are old family recipes that date back decades and some are new ones!
