TikTok Green Goddess Cabbage Salad

I love TikTok recipes! This Green Goddess Cabbage Salad is delicious!

The creator of this recipe is on TikTok @bakedbymelissa. If you have TikTok you can do a search for Green Goddess Salad & you will find it!

I adjusted the dressing recipe after tasting it. I found the dressing was a bit too lemony for us so I added Tahini and sugar. If you do not have Tahini in your fridge, perhaps use a bit less lemon, taste & then adjust to you liking, I have seen rice wine vinegar added to this so you could try that too! I am going to write this post up the way I made it. I said in the video that I would write this up the original way but as I am typing I have decided to only put down the way I made this salad!

The ingredients are cabbage, green onion, cucumber, green onion, shallot, lemons, garlic powder, shallot , fresh spinach & fresh basil . walnuts & salt. I added tahini & sugar!

This salad lasted about 3 days. We ate the Green Goddess Cabbage Salad on fish tacos which was great the first day then just as a side dish the next few days.

Ingredients

1 half head of cabbage

1english cucumber

4 green onions

Dressing

1/4 cup olive oil

juice of two lemons. *** next time I am only going to put in the juice of 1 lemon & then add more to taste

1 cup fresh spinach

1 cup fresh basil

1 shallot

a handful of walnuts

2 tbsp tahini

1/2- 1 tbsp sugar

1 -2 tsp garlic powder

a few chives

Method

  1. Finally chop up the cabbage, cucumber & green onions. I did this in my food processor. I just put everthing in the bowl & pulsed until it was the texture I wanted. Put this into a large bowl.
  2. Using a blender, blend all of the dressing ingredients together until smooth. Taste & adjust
  3. Add the dressing to the cabbage mixture, mix & enjoy!

Many people ask me "how did you do that?" "will you show me how?' So I decided to make a blog about what I cook and bake. I am in no way a professional cook, but I love to feed people and try new things as well as making the "old foods" My friends are wonderful cooks, each with their own 'specialty' and i will be having guest cooks here, showcasing their favourite things to cook as well!! I hope you enjoy this blog and maybe decide to make some of these foods yourself! I am always available to answer any questions you might have about anything you see here. Some of my recipes are unique to me but most are not. They are all recipes I have found in a variety of ways, some are old family recipes that date back decades and some are new ones!
