Balsamic Vinaigrette with Honey

This is my new favourite salad dressing…well, lets say I have added this to my list of favourite salad dressings…I still like the other ones I make…but this one is delish!

Super simple to have a jar of this in the fridge for the week. 4 ingredients…& salt & pepper.

The recipe is from MarthaStewart.com & is called Honey-Balsamin Vinaigrette

I am sure you can adjust the honey to your taste, but I find that this salad dressing is not too sweet as it is. I have doubled the recipe to allow for leftovers… we have used it on salad & on grilled vegetables. I think the key to this dressings the balsamic vinaigrette, get a good one… you don’t want this to be sharp…I have a nice thick balsamic which made this nice & smooth. We found that this salad dressingis so flavourful that we did not need to put tons on… but of course the amount of dressing upi iuse is up to you!!! This is so good…you might want to dip your bread into it!

Here is the recipe  from marthastewart.com

*** for double the original recipe… I have increased the honey slightly but otherwise the recipe is as it is on marthastewart.com

Ingredients

4 tbsp balsamic vinegar

2 1/2 tbsp honey

2 tsp Dijon mustard

1/2 cup olive oil

salt & pepper to taste

Method    This is pretty simple :))

  1. I put all of the ingredients into a jat & shook it…that is it!!!

Enjoy!

Many people ask me "how did you do that?" "will you show me how?' So I decided to make a blog about what I cook and bake. I am in no way a professional cook, but I love to feed people and try new things as well as making the "old foods" My friends are wonderful cooks, each with their own 'specialty' and i will be having guest cooks here, showcasing their favourite things to cook as well!! I hope you enjoy this blog and maybe decide to make some of these foods yourself! I am always available to answer any questions you might have about anything you see here. Some of my recipes are unique to me but most are not. They are all recipes I have found in a variety of ways, some are old family recipes that date back decades and some are new ones!
