Here Comes 2020!!

I was talking to some friends the other day about our New Years Eve Party for 2000! Hard to believe that 20 years have gone by…and so quickly!

We had a progressive dinner between 3 homes.. the last one is where we stayed to have dessert & greet the new century! We are all still friends & that is the best thing of all.

Murray & I just decided today to have some friends in tomorrow night to usher in 2020. Many of our friends are away for the winter or have moved to other cities so we will miss not having them here but so happy that the people who are in Edmonton can come & join us

We are hosting a dessert party… asking our friends to come around 8 pm or later.

I have to decide what to make but here are some ideas for a New Year’s Eve dessert party from previous posts.

Chocolate Bar Pie
Brownie Thins
Pavlova
Apple Cake
Vegan Chocolate Sheet Cake
No Bake Chocolate Corn Flake Cookies
Chocolate Chip Cookie & Kahlua Torte

& there many more recipes in my Dessert section!

Murray & I want to wish all of you a very happy & healthy New Year!! & Thank you for following my blog

All the best in 2020!

Many people ask me "how did you do that?" "will you show me how?' So I decided to make a blog about what I cook and bake. I am in no way a professional cook, but I love to feed people and try new things as well as making the "old foods" My friends are wonderful cooks, each with their own 'specialty' and i will be having guest cooks here, showcasing their favourite things to cook as well!! I hope you enjoy this blog and maybe decide to make some of these foods yourself! I am always available to answer any questions you might have about anything you see here. Some of my recipes are unique to me but most are not. They are all recipes I have found in a variety of ways, some are old family recipes that date back decades and some are new ones!

  1. Appie cake is for Jewish New Year! I would recommend the Pavlova.
Wishing you, Murray and family a very Happy 2020.
